Frequently asked questions
If a question is not covered here, reach the team through the contact page and a real person will reply.
Is my uploaded photo stored or used to train models?
The original photo payload is kept in server memory only while the generation job runs. The database stores job metadata, generation settings, credits and result URLs; it does not store the uploaded base64 photo, and LookStage does not use customer photos for model training.
What is the difference between Ready, Beta and Inspiration templates?
Ready templates have run end to end on real photos and have a stable output. Beta templates are still being tuned; output quality may vary. Inspiration templates are reference looks the team is still preparing - they cannot be generated yet.
Why do some templates show two side-by-side images?
Cards with a left/right toggle are showing the same person before and after the look is applied, so you can judge the change before you spend credits.
What photo works best?
A direct front selfie under soft natural light, with the face filling roughly half the frame, gives the most reliable results. Glasses are fine. JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB.
Do failed jobs cost credits?
No. LookStage reserves credits when a job is queued and automatically refunds them if the provider fails or returns an empty result.
Can I share or download the result?
Yes. Every generated preview has download, copy-link and share-text controls. Sharing back into a public gallery is opt-in and not active during the current MVP.
